Position Overview

• Full Time, 1.0 FTE
• Location: Crystal Lake Hospital
• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

Responsibilities

Performs MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images. Requires flexibility in hours, shifts, and call responsibilities. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team and may serve on committees or participate in projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties

• Performs procedures under physician orders for diagnostic interpretation.
• Prepares patients, provides instructions, and minimizes anxiety.
• Ensures safety and applies principles of MRI safety.
• Operates MRI equipment, positions patients, and performs imaging protocols.
• Administers contrast media and performs venipuncture as needed.
• Assists with interventional procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Evaluates image quality and manages digital data.
• Supports patient needs physically and psychologically.
• Uses radiology information systems and maintains records.
• Initiates BLS when necessary and provides training to partners and students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• ARRT Radiography registration required.
• ARRT MRI registration or must obtain within two years of hire.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.

Additional Requirements

Must be able to take call as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Physical demands include frequent walking, sitting, and handling equipment, with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
