You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and maintain strict safety standards in the magnetic environment. The role emphasizes excellent patient communication, meticulous image quality, and familiarity with head, thorax, and abdominal anatomy and MRI terminology.

Qualifications

• High school graduate/general studies required.
• MRI technologist registration within 9 months.
• CT technologist registration within 9 months.
• ARMRIT MRI certification within 9 months.
• ARRT radiography registration within 9 months.
• BLS/CPR within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Responsible in enforcing magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operator and visitors.
• Monitors the patient’s condition before and after the scan to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Explains testing procedures to patient ensuring patient understands what the involvement of the exam.
• Positions and instructs the patient about the preparation for the MRI test
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology, and MRI terminology, practices and procedures
• Be familiar with specific MRI coding systems

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within 9 - months or
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 9 - months or
• ARMRIT MRI, within 9 - months or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 9 - months and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days and

Preferred

• Associates Other in Healthcare field or Imaging Studies, upon hire and
• 1-3 years One year of MR experience , upon hire
• Medical Radiographer: TX, upon hire
