Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic procedures under general supervision. You may train and lead other staff and must adapt to patient age-specific needs while contributing to department goals.

Responsibilities include identifying patient requirements, maintaining CPR certification, and complying with safety standards. Overtime and weekend rotations may be required to support department needs.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• NYS license/registration or eligible.
• ARRT certification (must obtain within one year).
• Minimum of five years progressive technical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Registration for Contrast Injection required (must obtain within 3 months).

Identifies each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Willingly performs others duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT (must obtain within one year of appointment), minimum of five years progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification required. Work Days:

40 hrs/week; Specific days/hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
