Job summary

Henry Ford Rochester Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologist to perform MRI studies and contribute to patient care in the radiology department. This full-time role is scheduled for nights, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with no weekends required.

Under general supervision, you will prepare patients, position them, adjust imaging parameters, and assist in protocol development while maintaining quality control of the equipment. Members will join a supportive radiology team."

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging studies using an MRI device and prepare patients.
• Position patients, set imaging parameters, and perform computer processing and display images.
• Perform quality control procedures on equipment.

General Summary: Under general supervision, performs magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance imaging device, which includes preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images. Assists in developing protocol for patient studies. Performs quality control procedures on equipment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. No additional preferences.

Certification/Licences Required

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
