Job summary

Henry Ford Rochester Hospital in Rochester, MI is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join night-shift operations (8:00 PM–6:00 AM). Under general supervision, you will perform MRI studies, prepare patients, position them, and set imaging parameters.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist credentials: ARRT (MRI) within 12 months or NMTCB/ARDMS/ARMRIT credentials as applicable.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years experience, or an associate/technical degree, or 4 years cumulative job-specific experience.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire; providers include AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans and operate imaging equipment.
• Prepare patients, position them, and adjust imaging parameters.
• Process images and participate in protocol development and QC.
• Ensure quality control procedures on equipment.

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision, performs magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance imaging device, which includes preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images. Assists in developing protocol for patient studies. Performs quality control procedures on equipment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. No additional preferences.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following required:

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
