Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Chicopee, MA facility for a full-time, on-site position. You will communicate with patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort, safety and quality images.

Responsibilities include patient safety pre-screening, aseptic technique, image production, supply orders, unit cleaning, and assisting with transport. CPR and registry with ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS required; state licensure as needed. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Technologist by ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Pre-screen patients for safety and contraindications.
• Explain MRI procedures and reassure patients to ensure comfort.
• Order supplies, clean unit, and assist in preparing for transport.
• Train new technologists as needed.

This will be a Full Time position.Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease.
