Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at the Brookfield, CT facility for a full-time position. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality MR studies on-site and remotely, and collaborate with radiologists and staff. Training and orientation of new technologists and assistants may be required.

A valid ARRT MR/ARMRIT or equivalent certification is preferred. The role requires CPR certification, a state license if applicable, and 3 months MRI experience or enrollment in a training program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ARRT MR or ARMRIT preferred/acceptable.
• CPR certification required.
• State license, if applicable.
• 3 months MRI experience or enrollment in MRI training program >6 months.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contra-indications.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images and operate multiple MR systems as needed.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and staff; assist in mobile environments.
• Train/orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants on site or remotely.

This will be a Full Time position.As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.Produces high quality diagnostic images.
