Akron Children’s Hospital seeks a part-time MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures and ensure patient safety in the MRI environment. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, possess an ARRT license and BLS certification, and have experience in MRI scanning. This role involves operating MRI equipment, adhering to QA/QC guidelines, and performing clerical tasks related to patient care.

Summary:
The MRI Technologist performs all magnetic resonance procedures to produce cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes according to protocol and age specific needs.

Education and Experience
1. Education: Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
2. Certification: Radiological Technologist license from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
3. Must be licensed by the state of Ohio in Radiologic Technology.
4. MRI Registry Eligible: may be hired with two years to complete registry. Non-compliance with obtaining MRI Registry may result in termination.
5. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 2 years is preferred.
6. Years of experience supervising: None.
