Job summary

TMS is seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Radiology. The role requires MRI proficiency, patient safety focus, and strong teamwork with radiologists and nurses. The clinician works days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.

The candidate must have ARRT, TMB, and BLS credentials, 1–2 years MRI experience, and be ready to start ASAP. Gray scrubs are required, and candidates must live more than 50 miles away from the facility.

• Recent MRI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to orders and protocols.
• Verify patient information and clinical history.

We are seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technologist to join a high-performing Radiology team for a 13-week travel assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MRI professional who is passionate about providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while maintaining exceptional patient safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on MRI experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.

Verify patient information, clinical history, and examination orders.

Screen patients for MRI safety risks, contraindications, and implanted devices.

Prepare patients for procedures and explain the examination process.

Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently.

Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to any concerns.

Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety protocols and infection‑control standards.

Recognize and report imaging or equipment concerns appropriately.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the HMS EMR system.

Collaborate with radiologists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Provide compassionate care and maintain patient dignity throughout every examination.

13-week contract

36 hours per week

Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

No call

No 48‑hour option

No floating

ARRT certification – Required

Ability to work independently and efficiently

Excellent communication and patient‑care skills

Must be available to start ASAP
