Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR examinations under Radiologist supervision.

The role requires ARRT MR certification, safety vigilance, and about 1 year of MRI experience, serving diverse patient ages from neonatal to geriatrics. The candidate must maintain safety standards and deliver high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist.
• ARRT Radiography Certification (R) and MR, ARRT MRI certification Upon Hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under direct supervision of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.
• Adhere to safety requirements for magnetic safety and equipment usage.
• Perform advanced MR imaging procedures and demonstrate proficiency with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

Overview:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
