Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist Trainee to learn MRI safety, patient care, and imaging procedures under the direction of a registered technologist. This role focuses on on-the-job training, documentation, and delivering quality patient service across locations.

Responsibilities include pre-screening personnel for safety, assisting with scans, and completing required records to meet Akumin and Joint Commission standards. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Certificate from college/technical school or enrolled in Radiology program.
• Actively enrolled in an accredited Radiology or MRI program + CPR.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-screening of personnel for safety before entering the scanning room.
• Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist.
• Completes necessary documentation for patient files to meet policy and Joint Commission requirements.
• Other job duties as needed.
