Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to operate scanners, position patients, and deliver high-quality cross-sectional images.

You will manage patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education, ensure data integrity with PACS, and uphold radiation safety and departmental standards. This PRN role supports a busy radiology team and offers opportunities to contribute to patient care and imaging excellence.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• ARRT MR credentialed within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• ARRT Radiography credentialed within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• ARDMS Sonography credentialed within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality cross-sectional images by accurately positioning patients and selecting optimal technical parameters.
• Manage patient pre-screening, scheduling, and clear education to ensure a smooth, informed experience.
• Process patient data, manage image transfer, and ensure prompt, accurate submission of all high-quality images and documents to PACS.
• Strictly adhere to all radiation safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a safe environment for all.
• Monitor equipment function, report malfunctions, and assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
