Job summary

System Support is seeking an MRI technologist to independently perform MRI exams with contrast administration, ensuring safe practices and equipment maintenance. You will coordinate patient flow and MRI scanner operations while applying professional judgment and adhering to licensure requirements.

Role may include procedures in other imaging modalities and on-call responsibilities as needed, with CPR certification and registry requirements guiding eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Imaging Sciences or Allied Health.
• ARRT RT (R) or ARMRIT registry required.
• CPR certification required.
• ODH licensure preferred; MRI registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs MRI using proper techniques and contrast administration.
• Coordinates patient flow and MRI scanner activities with safety practices.
• Maintains equipment and applies professional judgment in duties.

Job description

Independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

• Type of degree: Allied Health
• Area of study or major: Medical Imaging Sciences to include additional MRI physics coursework or completed within 6 months of hire
