Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking an MRI Technologist for PRN shifts. The role involves performing MRI procedures, preparing patients, and assisting radiologists in a busy radiology department. PRN variable shifts include weekends and holidays with rotation as needed.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials, an accredited radiologic technology background, and prior MRI experience. BCLS certification is required prior to independent patient care.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or an Associate Degree (preferred).
• 1 year medical imaging experience preferred and 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or ARMRIT credentials required upon hire.
• ARoadmap credentials required within 12 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Explains procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam.
• Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest.
• Performs complex procedures considering age-related criteria.
• Adjusts technique parameters for age-related factors.
• Assists radiologist with complex procedures using aseptic technique.
• Maintains attention to detail and image quality.
• Processes and manipulates images; trouble-shoots and repeats when needed.
• Transfers images to PACS and prints laser images.
• Coordinates with scheduling and other modalities.
• Assesses and supports patient emotional and physical conditions.
• Prepares room and checks physician orders; greets patient with ID checks.
• Administers contrast media per guidelines and monitors patient.
• Maintains equipment and room cleanliness between patients.
