Job summary

Eastside Medical Center in Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role involves imaging diverse patient populations, adhering to safety standards, and delivering quality care.

The ideal candidate has completed an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training, and holds ARDMS or ARRT certification and BCLS. No prior experience is required, though 6 months as MRI Tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited program is required.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• Required ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration and Basic Life Support (BCLS) on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to diverse age groups and ensure safety during imaging.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
