Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking an MRI technologist to screen patients prior to MRI and perform imaging following Radiologists' protocols. You will begin studies, transfer images, and document patient history in EPIC/EMR and PACS.

Experience with Cardiac and Pediatrics is preferred; Siemens MRI experience is advantageous. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to manage daily imaging workflow. Rotation of holiday shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of AMA Approved RT Program.
• Current ARRT license preferred; MRI certification preferred.

Short Description

Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindication. Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists. Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history and completes studies in EPIC / EMR and PACS system Experience with Cardiac and Pediatrics preferred. Siemens experience preferred. Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills needed to effectively orchestrate daily workflow of patients.

Experience Required

• Canon MRI experience preferred but not necessary.
• Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are needed to effectively orchestrate the daily workflow of patients.
• Highly developed customer service skills are required.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required
• Graduate of AMA Approved RT Program

License/Certification Requirements

• Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists);
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification preferred
• BLS/CPR preferred, required after 6 months' employme
