Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center, a 314-bed acute care teaching hospital serving Dallas County, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging as part of a multidisciplinary team including ultrasound, CT, PET and nuclear medicine.

The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, BLS, Texas state health certification, and at least 1 year of work experience, with an option for ARRT(R) license within 12 months after orientation.

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• Work Experience: 1 year required.
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation.

Your Job

In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists« certification - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Texas Department of State Health certification
