Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and interventional MRI imaging, including ultrasound, CT, PET and nuclear medicine support. The role includes venipuncture and assisting radiologists and nurses with sedation as needed.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT MR/ARMRIT or ARRT (R) with MR progression within 1 year, and Texas State Health certification, plus BLS and 1 year experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• 1 year of work experience required.
• If ARRT (R), must obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of orientation.

Your Job

In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
