Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Chicopee, MA facility on a PRN basis. The role focuses on patient safety, high-quality imaging, and daily unit readiness with opportunities to train staff.

Required are ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registration, state license as needed, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits and flexible scheduling are offered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Order supplies, clean unit, and prep for transport daily.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or PC's.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Chicopee, MA facility. This will be a PRN position.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre‑screening for contra‑indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License, as required.
• Technologists performing mid‑day moves
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver's license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in MA is $52.09 - $62.30. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
