Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Lead MRI Tech at our Danbury facility for a full-time role. You will perform clinical scans, mentor staff, and help manage daily operations in a fast-paced imaging center. The Lead MRI Tech will collaborate with radiologists and technologists to optimize imaging protocols and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• MR imaging technologist credential and ongoing certification required or preferred ARRT (MR).
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Willingness to travel between locations and work at multiple sites.

We are currently hiring for a Lead MRI Tech at our Danbury facility. This will be a Full Time position.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs clinical scans
• Trains new hires and conducts ongoing reviews on clinical competencies.
• Assists with day to day unit operational issues.
• Works with team and customer on protocol development and review.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT required.
• State license, if applicable required.
• CPR certification required - BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association Kaiser only
• Valid state driver's license, as applicable required.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.

Eligibility for benefits will vary based on role type and hours worked.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in MA is $52.00 - $67.01. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
