Job summary

Akumin Chicopee, MA is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN position. You will perform MRI scans, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, maintaining equipment and supplies, assisting with patient transport, and communicating with radiologists. ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registration and state license as required; CPR and related credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State license, as required by location.
• CPR certification.
• Mid-day moves experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic technique.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assists in preparing for transport.
• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists/PCs.
