Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist for the Sidney, NY facility. The role focuses on producing high-quality diagnostic MRI images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and clear communication with patients and radiologists.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, assisting with transport, and training junior staff. ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry and state licensure as required are needed, with CPR and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Registered Technologist by ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient safety and pre-screen for contraindications.
• Assist in transporting supplies and preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and team members.
• Train new technologists and/or PCs.

We are currently hiring for a PRN MRI Technologist at our Sidney, NY facility. This will be a PRN position.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License, as required.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

Eligibility for benefits will vary based on position type and hours worked.

[The estimated hourly pay range for this role in New York is $50.31 - $65.41. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
