Job summary

A health care provider in Atlanta, GA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations. Responsibilities include providing patient care across all age groups, and performing diagnostic imaging under the supervision of a Radiologist. Candidates should have graduated from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program, hold BLS certification, and preferably have 6 months of MRI experience.

• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

Minimum Experience Required: None; 6 months as an MRI Technologist preferred.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).

Additional Qualifications: BLS certified.
