Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under supervision and ensure patient safety across neonatal to geriatric patients. You will work within a team focused on quality imaging and patient-centered care.

The role requires ARRT MRI and radiography certifications, BCLS, and 1 year of MRI experience, with a sign-on bonus and Fri/Sat/Sun 7am-7pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Graduate of JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist.
• ARRT Radiography Certification Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR) Upon Hire Required.
• Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) Upon Hire Required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist.
• Adhere to safety requirements for MRI and assist with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Provide patient care across age groups: neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
