Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist to support our state-of-the-art Radiology Department. You will prepare patients and safely operate MR equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic scans, collaborating with physicians.

Required ARRT MR certification within 6 months, High School diploma, and an associate degree preferred; relocation may be offered. This role offers flexible schedules and a supportive team dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred.
• ARRT MR Certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• State license as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and ensure safety during MR procedures.

Position Summary

The MRI Technologist assists physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and safely operating MR equipment to obtain quality diagnostic scans.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• 2-Year / Associate Degree, preferred
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required

Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred

Licensure/Certification

• NH Medical Center: Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility: Certified and registered within 6 months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required
• Hospital Outpatient Department: Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required
• IV Credentialed, required
• Applicable state license, required
