Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Temp MRI Tech for up to 9 months in Charlotte, NC. The role involves picking up PRN shifts at Region Medical Center locations and supports safe, high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree, ARRT MR certification, and at least one year of MR experience, with licensure eligibility in North Carolina. This temporary assignment may convert to a permanent position after the initial period.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; ARRT-approved radiography or MR program graduate required.
• Minimum of one year MR experience preferred.
• Licensure: ARRT MR RT(R)(MR) within 6 months of hire.
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - ARRT RT(R)(MR) certification within 6 months of hire.
• State license as applicable.
• IV credentialed preferred.

What We Offer

This position is a Temp Assignment Based MRI Tech for up to a maximum of 9 months.

The Temp MRI Tech position will pick up PRN shifts (could be up to 40 hours/week) at Charlotte, NC, Region Medical Center locations and could convert to a Novant Health permanent employee after the 9 months.

What You'll Do

Temp Assignment Based MRI techs are experienced, proficient technologist within their specialty responsible for providing safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. These MRI techs are temporarily assigned to one unit for a designated number of weeks based on needs of the system. These MRI techs possess the skills, competency, and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in any Novant Health location. The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • IV Credentialed, preferred.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
