Job summary

Novant Health MRI team in Hilton Head Island, SC, seeks a MR Technologist I to assist physicians, prepare patients, and operate MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality imaging, and collaboration within radiology.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Radiography or MR program and ARRT MR certification with state licensure. A year of MR experience is preferred and relocation assistance is offered to eligible hires.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. ARRT-approved Radiography or MR program required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in MR preferred; ARRT MR certification required within 6 months.
• Licensure: ARRT MR certification and applicable state license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, while following life-support and facility policies.
• Contribute to delivering high-quality care and supporting the radiology team.

The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
