Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, required.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist with certification in IV contrast administration, required.
• ARRT registration, required.
• MR(RT)(ARRT) within eighteen (18) months of entry date into position, required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS), required.
• Prior radiology experience, required; MRI experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI equipment and protocols, required.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.
• Prepares patients for examination.
• Performs MRI procedures to include: abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies etc.
• Administers intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order.
