Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, New Jersey, is seeking an MRI Tech Assistant to support imaging technologists and ensure smooth patient flow within the department.

The role focuses on patient care, room readiness, and operational support to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare or medical imaging preferred.
• Experience and familiarity with radiology and medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification currently enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients in and out of exam rooms.
• Safely transfer patients on and off exam tables.
• Push and maneuver stretchers and wheelchairs to transport patients.
• Support technologists with patient positioning during imaging exams.
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels in exam rooms.
• Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and prepared for procedures.
• Answer phones and provide courteous communication with patients and team members.
• Schedule patient exams as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.

The MRI Tech Assistant provides essential support to medical imaging technologists and ensures smooth patient flow within the imaging department. This role focuses on patient care, room readiness, and operational support to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $28.80 per hour

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
