Job summary

RadNet is seeking an In-Suite Assistant in California to support MRI technologists and radiologists, assist in patient prep, and maintain a safe, clean MRI suite. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety and privacy guidelines.

You will collaborate with site leadership, coordinate with front desk, and participate in trainings to ensure smooth imaging operations and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an approved MRI Technologist Assistant program with hands-on training.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong computer and time management skills.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support MRI Technologists and Radiologists to promote patient safety and efficient workflows.
• Comply with HIPAA confidentiality and safety guidelines in a clinical environment.
• Assist in coil positioning, MRI safety screening, patient observation, and prep.
• Collect and document patient histories and record in the EMR.
• Maintain a clean, safe MRI control room and decontaminate coils and rooms.
• Greet and guide patients through the MRI process and answer questions.
• Administer oral contrast under technologist direction and provide instructions.
• Support technologists with coil setup, suite cleanup, and stocking.
• Screen patients and verify exam documentation.
• Assist with positioning, gowning, IV removal, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with MRI Steering Technologist and site leadership for smooth operations.
• Communicate delays and schedule changes to front desk and team.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and quality control activities.

You Will:

• Support MRI Technologists and Radiologists to promote patient safety and efficient workflows

• Collect and document accurate patient medical histories and record them in the EMR
• Maintain a clean and safe MRI control room and decontaminate coils, equipment, and exam rooms
• Greet and guide patients through the MRI process, putting them at ease and answering questions
• Administer oral contrast under the technologist direction and provide instructions as needed
• Support technologists with coil setup, suite cleanup, and supply stocking

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
