Job summary

The MRI Technologist at Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is responsible for performing MR imaging in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. You will process and review MR images, ensure accuracy, and document exams in the department system, supporting the clinical team.

Overview

• Department: Imaging
• Schedule: Full time, evenings
• Facility: Prime Healthcare- St Joseph Hospital
• Location: 333 Madison St, Joliet IL

Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist is responsible for the performance of all aspects of MR imaging, accurately and in accordance with established procedures and policies in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients of all groups. Follows all regulatory guidelines and MRI safety precautions. Maintains professional standards of conduct an ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information, processes images, assures correct images, accurate billing and file documentation, records information related to exams into department computer system. Performs other activities in support of clinical team members when not engaged in imaging activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and remain current.
• Must be a graduate of a ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course.
• At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist Preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.38 to $56.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
