Job summary

Lovelace Health System is seeking a variable shift, PRN MRI Technician in Albuquerque, NM. This position involves performing MRI cross-sectional imaging, operating equipment, and ensuring patient safety in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences and maintain licensure in New Mexico. Preferred qualification includes a Bachelor of Science Degree and three years of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent.
• ARRT, ARDMS, or equivalent registered or eligible.
• Full State of New Mexico licensure to be obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI cross-sectional imaging and related procedures.
• Operate and monitor MRI equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing MRI cross-sectional imaging and other related procedures as directed by a licensed physician.
• Operates and monitors MRI equipment.
• May assist in other areas as requested.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent.
• Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and/or Cross-Sectional Anatomy.
• ARRT, ARDMS, or equivalent registered or eligible.
• Full State of New Mexico licensure is required within one year of hire. Must maintain licensure and national certification/registry.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree; Formal MRI Education.
• Three (3) years of experience in a hospital environment.
