Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an MRI Support Assistant to provide excellent patient care and clerical support for the MRI department. Responsibilities include check-in/out, preparing exam rooms, data entry, and assisting with patient education and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma and MRI environment safety awareness, with preferred background in health sciences, anatomy, and healthcare experience. BLS/CPR certification is required, and pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Background in Health Sciences or Human Anatomy is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience in radiology or medical terminology is preferred.
• Healthcare experience including MRI safety is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and confidentiality skills.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Must pass safety screening to work in MRI environment.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients.
• Prepare and clean MRI room and changing areas between patients.
• Assist MRI Technologist and staff with setup and patient education.
• Screen patients and handle initial encounters for billing.
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers to/from MRI table.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in MRI environment.
• Stock supplies and support MRI management team.
