An established industry player is seeking a Radiology Technologist Supervisor to lead a specialized team in a dynamic healthcare environment. Work Hours: Choose between Thursday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or Friday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
The Radiology Technologist Supervisor-Specialist Team provides day-to-day supervision for an assigned Radiology area (e.g., Diagnostic, Breast Imaging, Stony Point, CT/MRI, 3D lab). Responsibilities include overseeing STAR Service, compliance with legal and regulatory standards, clinical operations, human resources, safety & quality, customer service, leadership, and fiscal management. The role ensures all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed by qualified staff, of high quality, and in accordance with radiation safety principles (ALARA), ACR Guidelines for imaging practices, and MRI safety standards where applicable. Compliance with VCU and VCUHS policies is mandatory.
Licensure and Certification: ARRT certification required; specialty registries (e.g., Mammography, CT, MRI, Interventional) are also required based on the department.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as Lead Tech or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiology; 3 years of technical experience; leadership experience preferred.
Education: Graduation from an ARRT-recognized JRC-accredited Radiologic Technology program; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree in related fields highly preferred.
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; holiday call required.
All age groups served. The position involves physical activity and exposure to hazardous substances. Lunch breaks are assigned by the supervisory team.
