Job summary

Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail‑oriented scheduling coordinator to join the MRI coordination team in Sioux Falls, SD. You will connect with patients, physicians, clinics, and MRI technologists to ensure timely, accurate care.

Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, resources, and necessary documentation while supporting workflow and patient transportation as needed. A high school diploma and medical familiarity are required, CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One+ year of experience in the medical field; familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• One+ year of experience with insurance and managed-care contracts preferred.
• AHA CPR certification required or can be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments for MRI procedures and related services.
• Connect with patients to schedule MRI and provide visit information.
• Coordinate MRI resources, including scanner selection based on needs and safety.
• Ensure readiness by coordinating orders, authorizations, insurance, and screening docs.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinics, MRI technologists, and hospital teams to keep care moving.
• Assist in optimizing department workflow and coordinating cases and scanner availability.
