Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Philadelphia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, independently or with licensed practitioners. You will prepare patients and ensure proper identification, while optimizing imaging protocols and applying ALARA principles.

You will document clinical history confidentially, select pulse sequences, evaluate image quality, assist with interventional MRI, and educate students and staff.

Qualifications

• ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB MR certification required.
• Graduate of specialty training program in radiologic technology.
• Strong MRI safety, protocols, and patient care knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Obtain orders, prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Utilize imaging protocols and optimize technical factors for quality images.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and perform post-processing if needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, ensuring safety principles are followed.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and perform prescribed MRI scans.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
