Job summary

GHP-Griffin Health Partners in Derby, CT is seeking an MRI technologist to perform MRI system QA, control and maintenance while ensuring patient safety in the MRI environment.

You will manage MRI quality metrics for Joint Commission and ACR accreditation, require ARRT MRI and Radiography, CT license, and MRSO credential (or obtain within 6 months). Clinical duties include support to the x-ray department; venipuncture, IV placement, and EKG skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • ARRT MR/R and CT license are required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Venipuncture and IV placement skills are required.
  • Breast and cardiac imaging experience preferred.
  • MRSO credential required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Two years MRI experience minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI system quality assurance, control and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure the safety of patients, families and staff within an MRI environment.
  • Be responsible for MRI quality metrics for Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies.
  • Be responsible for metrics and quality outcomes for ACR MRI accreditation standards.
  • Maintain multicredentialed status to work in an outpatient imaging center to support operations.
  • Provide support to the x-ray department; phlebotomy and EKG skills are preferred.
