Job summary

The Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a dedicated MRI Tech Assistant who will support both clinical and imaging research operations, assisting with daily MRI and PET/MRI examinations for standard-care and research studies.

They will also manage data, train researchers on scanner operations, and assist with billing for research imaging.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and deliver specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Escort patients and manage general clinic supplies.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, records, billing questions.
• Take routine vital signs and assist with procedures and medications as directed.
• Communicate with patients about procedures and provide excellent patient care.
