Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC is seeking an MRI Supervisor to provide front-line operational, clinical, and people leadership for MRI services across Duke University Hospital campuses. The role focuses on safety, throughput, scheduling, and cross-site coordination to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, on-call coverage, protocol support, and collaboration with radiologists, physicists, and nursing.

Qualifications

• Registry/certification in applicable imaging modality (ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB).
• Four years of experience in an imaging modality (Radiologic Tech, MR, CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Interventional Radiology).
• Two years of team leader or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line operational, clinical, and people leadership for MRI services across multiple Duke Health locations.
• Oversee daily throughput, staffing, scheduling, and safety compliance during weekend MRI operations.
• Supervise MRI technologists, gatekeepers, safety officers, and support staff; manage onboarding and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicists, anesthesia, and nursing to resolve protocol and workflow issues.
• Act as MRI Safety Officer or designee; address safety events and coordinate training and audits.
