Job summary

Loyola Medicine-MacNeal Hospital seeks an MRI Lead Technologist to coordinate and oversee daily MRI operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. You will mentor staff and collaborate with Radiology leadership to maintain safety and service standards.

The role requires an ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification and an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, with CPR certification and a focus on leadership within radiology.

• MRI Technologist Certification (ARRT MRI or ARMRIT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)
• AHA CPR Certification (American Heart Association – CPR only)

About the Job

The MRI Lead Technologist is responsible for coordinating, directing, and supporting the daily operations of MRI services to ensure high-quality patient care, safety, and workflow efficiency. Working collaboratively with the Manager of Medical Imaging Services and Radiologists, this role oversees staff scheduling, workflow management, and operational excellence within the MRI department. The MRI Lead Technologist serves as a clinical resource and mentor, providing leadership, guidance, and support to MRI staff while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and service.

Minimum Education

Associate’s Degree AAS in Radiologic Technology required

Required Licensure & Certifications

MRI Technologist Certification (ARRT MRI or ARMRIT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)

AHA CPR Certification (American Heart Association – CPR only)

Pay Range

Pay Range: $35.89 - 62.91 USD Hourly Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
