Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging exams, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and patient safety.

The role requires ARRT-MR and NYS licensure, with BLS within 90 days; on-site IV certification training is available. You will work in a fast-paced radiology department, coordinating with physicians and staff to maintain workflow and patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year MR working experience required (ARRT).
• ARRT-MR certification within 1 year preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in NYS required upon hire.
• IV certification training available on-site within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Position patients and select appropriate coils and protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; monitor during exam.
• Document exam data and coordinate with Radiologist.
• Comply with ARRT/ACR/OSHA standards and hospital protocols.
• Assist in room setup and prep for procedures; aid in QA duties.
• Participate in safety training and department meetings.
