Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and assist radiologists with diagnostic imaging. You will collect patient data, verify orders, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout the scan process.

Responsibilities include precise patient positioning, contrast administration when indicated, monitoring for reactions, and ensuring images are accurately sent to PACS with proper documentation. ARRT/MRI certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by ARRT.
• Current MRI certification or ARRT registry.
• BLS (CPR/AED) per AHA.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations and produce diagnostic images.
• Collect patient data and verify orders; confirm consent.
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
• Position patient and implement safety protocols during scans.
• Administer contrast as allowed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Send images to PACS for radiologist interpretation; document procedures.
