Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is seeking an Imaging Assistant to support MRI imaging procedures under the direction of a licensed provider. The role emphasizes workflow coordination, equipment readiness, and maintaining a safe MRI environment.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include patient preparation, positioning, transport, and documentation, along with data entry and gathering information for upcoming MRI exams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of ARRT Imaging assistant (MRI) clinical competency requirements within 12 months of hire.
• Knowledge of MRI safety zones and screening procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists MRI technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and transport.
• Assists patients with completion of questionnaires/history forms.
• Assists with documentation, patient records, and data entry.
• Gathers information for upcoming MRI exams.
• Resets and cleans MRI suites between patients, including coil changes and room preparation.
• Supports patient comfort by providing information and addressing concerns prior to scans.
