• Reset and clean MRI suites between patients, including coil changes and room preparation.
• Support patient comfort by providing information and addressing concerns prior to scans.

Imaging Assistant Job Description The Imaging Assistant assists in the performance of MRI imaging procedures under the direction of a licensed provider. Provides support in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality care. This role will focus on workflow coordination, equipment readiness, and maintaining a safe MRI environment.

Department: Radiology Hours: full-time, 40 hours a week required Shift: 1st: Monday - Friday

Required: High School Diploma and BLS within 90 days of hire Pay: based on experience, starting at $18.68 an hour

Responsibilities

• Assists MRI technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and transport.
• Assists patients with the completion of appropriate questionnaires/history forms.
• Assists with documentation, patient records, and data entry.
• Gathers information for upcoming MRI exams.
• Knowledge of MRI safety Zones and screening procedures.
• Required to complete ARRT Imaging assistant (MRI) clinical competency requirements within 12 months of hire.
• Resets and cleans MRI suites between patients, including coil changes and room preparation.
