Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Radiology Support role to assist radiology technologists and radiologists, ensuring safe imaging procedures and comfort for patients. The position involves preparing equipment, positioning patients, and maintaining records for billing and compliance.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, arranging X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound devices, and aiding in image processing and PACS transfers.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Hospital/Managed Care setting experience 0-1 year preferred.
Radiology experience 0-1 year preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures, explaining the imaging process and answering questions.
Prepare and arrange radiology equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and ultrasound devices.
Help position patients correctly on the imaging table or in standing/sitting positions to obtain clear images.
Assist radiology technologists with image processing tasks, labeling and organizing digital images, and transferring to PACS.
Assist in transporting patients to and from the radiology department, ensuring safety and comfort.
Keep track of supplies, including contrast agents and gowns, in the radiology department.
Maintain accurate records of patient procedures for medical records and billing.
