Job summary

Block Imaging seeks a Field Service Engineer Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing medical imaging equipment under experienced engineers. You will participate in structured training, engage in field assignments, and build practical skills across service environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, mechanical engineering, computer technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities with initiative.
• Excellent communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and diagnostic software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, maintaining, and repairing medical imaging equipment at customer locations.
• Evaluate equipment performance and support preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Diagnose electronic, mechanical, and network issues with guidance from senior engineers.
• Document service work and train end users on operation and maintenance.
• Communicate updates and improvements to management and team.
• Represent the company professionally on-site and maintain customer relationships.
• Pursue ongoing learning in new technologies and repair methods.
• Driving and vehicle operation are essential.
• Other duties as assigned.
