Job summary

Block Imaging is offering a Field Service Engineer Apprentice program designed to jumpstart your engineering career with hands-on training under seasoned engineers. You will learn to install, maintain, and repair medical imaging equipment while rotating through real-world service environments.

The six-month training takes place at our Sunrise, Florida partner, after which apprentices are expected to relocate to the Philadelphia, PA region.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, computer technology, or related field.
• Minimum one year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Military training may be considered.
• Willingness to travel and drive as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, maintaining, and repairing medical imaging equipment at customer locations.
• Evaluate equipment performance and support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, installations, and repairs to OEM standards.
• Diagnose and resolve electronics, mechanical, and network issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Document service work accurately and train end users on proper operation and maintenance.
• Communicate updates and improvement opportunities to management and team members.
• Represent the company professionally on-site and maintain customer relationships.
• Support continuous improvement by sharing field insights and pursuing ongoing learning.
• Driving and vehicle operation are essential functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
