Job summary

The LiRo Group is seeking a Construction Superintendent with MEP experience for a ground-up MRI facility for the State of NY OGS. You will monitor on-site activities, coordinate inspections, and support subcontractors to ensure conformance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities include daily reporting, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating multi-trade work across the site. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in NYC construction leading multiple phases of building/rehabilitation projects.
• Background as General Construction Superintendent or MEP Superintendent preferred.
• Minimum 4 years as a Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building project.
• Ability to develop/communicate a project work plan and monitor performance against it.
• Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach with clients and contractors.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred; experience in Institutional Construction preferred.
• Strong Excel, written communication, and tech skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
• Coordinate Third Party Code Inspection and Documentation.
• Communicate with the project team and support subcontractors to execute duties effectively.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications, prepare daily reports and activity logs.
• Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet varying safety and compliance regulations.
• Maintain a written daily log of visitors, actions, materials, and problems.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organize meetings with team members.
• Review contractor as-builts.
