Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an MRI technologist to operate MRI scanners, acquire diagnostic images, and support patient care. The role requires ARRT certification and advanced MRI qualifications, with emphasis on safety and procedural accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Advanced ARRT certification required for MRI duties
  • Completion of 24-month post-high school radiologic technology program, evidenced by certificate or associate degree

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanner to acquire diagnostic images for patient diagnosis and management.
  • Ensure MRI safety principles are applied in the MRI environment and with patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with ARRT and VA qualification standards.
