Job summary

Houston Physicians Hospital is seeking a dedicated MRI/CT Technologist for full-time second shift. The multimodality role covers MRI and CT imaging with emphasis on safety and patient care across all ages, from neonatal to adult, including critically ill patients.

The position requires ARRT, 2–3 years MRI experience, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with radiologists and nursing staff. Cross-training into X-ray is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT certification required.
• MRI and/or CT certification preferred.
• State registration if required by state.
• BLS certification required.
• 2-3 years MRI experience.
• Venipuncture skills required.
• Ability to handle critical care situations and cross-train into X-ray.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality MRI and CT imaging with application of advanced technical knowledge while maintaining patient care.
• Maintain safety of the MRI and CT suite in coordination with patients and staff.
• Evaluate orders for clinical information and assess needs of patient and exam in consultation with radiologist.
• Recognize emergent patient conditions and coordinate critical transport with nursing staff as applicable.
• Collaborate with Patient Services and anesthesia as needed.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and provide information and instruction to patients and families.
